About this site!
I kind of mentioned what this site was all about on the home page but if you wanted to know a little more about me - I guess that is what I will put on this page.
My name is Jason and I am actually a public school teacher. I literally have no woodworking experience, but I definitely like to do things outside and have always wondered how to build a pergola and found out that it is pretty easy. I have lived in Michigan my whole life and would never leave here. I think the weather is perfect in that it is always changing. I think I would get pretty bored if I lived in California where the weather is so consistent.
As far as my life goes - I am married and have 2 fur babies (that's what my wife and I call our dogs since we don't have kids lol). I have been teaching for 5 years now and love it. It is actually kind of ironic that I am building this website about pergolas and woodworking because that, even though I said I have no woodworking experience, is now becoming one of my favorite hobbies - and it is actually paying off! I say it's paying off because after I built my pergola, I had a couple other neigbors and friends of the family ask if they could hire me to build one at their homes! I only did 3 this last summer, but hey - that was an extra $5,000 for my wife and I!!!
Well, I think that is about enough for this page... I really don't think everyone cares about some random dude who built a pergola haha!
